How a CA runs a filing season in AawazAI for CAs

Filing season is not hard because the returns are hard. It is hard because twenty clients send twenty kinds of mess in the same week. This is how the workspace handles that.

General information, not professional advice. GST rules, rates and due dates change by notification. Check the current position on the GST Portal or with your CA before you act on anything here.

The short version

  • One workspace per client, per return, per period, so nothing from March leaks into April.
  • Take whatever the client sends: bill photos, PDFs, bank statements, GSTR JSON, or Tally, Zoho, QuickBooks and Busy exports.
  • Reconciliation against GSTR-2B runs automatically, and what cannot be settled goes to a review queue instead of being guessed at.
  • Nothing is filed until the CA presses Confirm and File, with the CA's own GSTN credentials. The ARN is recorded.
  • ₹1,000 a month, exclusive of GST, with no per-client fee.

What filing season actually costs

The returns are not the difficult part. The difficult part is that one client sends a WhatsApp album of bill photos, another sends a Tally export, a third sends a bank statement and a promise, and all three arrive on the eighth. The hours go on turning that into something comparable, not on the filing.

So the workspace is built around intake and reconciliation, not around the return form.

One workspace per return

A workspace is one client, one return, one period. It is a small idea that removes a whole category of mistake: a March document cannot wander into an April return, and two people working on the same client are looking at the same thing.

Taking whatever the client sends

Upload it in whatever form it arrived:

  • Bill photographs and PDFs
  • Bank statements
  • GSTR JSON from the portal
  • Exports from Tally, Zoho, QuickBooks and Busy

The workspace extracts the data from all of it into one shape. The point is not that extraction is clever; it is that the CA stops being the format converter.

Reconciliation, and the review queue

Purchases are reconciled against GSTR-2B automatically. Invoices that match, match. What is left over is where the work actually is, and it goes into a review queue rather than being quietly resolved:

CaseWhy it needs a person
In the books, not in 2BThe supplier has not filed, or filed it late. Credit is not available yet and somebody has to chase.
In 2B, not in the booksA bill the client never sent you
Matched, but the value differsA credit note, a rate difference, or a typo, and which one it is changes the answer
GSTIN mismatchCredit against a wrong GSTIN is credit against nobody

A tool that resolves these silently is a tool that files a wrong return quietly. The queue exists because the judgement is the CA's.

Confirm and File

The computation is prepared and shown. Nothing goes to the portal until the CA presses Confirm and File, and it goes using the CA's own GSTN credentials, not a pooled account. The ARN is recorded against the workspace when it comes back.

This is the line that matters for anyone deciding whether to trust the thing: the software prepares, the professional files, and the professional's own credentials are what the portal sees.

The trail

Every workspace keeps its processing trail: what was uploaded, what was extracted from it, what reconciled, what a person changed, and what was finally filed with which ARN. When a query arrives eighteen months later, that trail is the answer.

Price

₹1,000 a month, exclusive of GST, with no per-client fee. Annual billing at ₹9,600 is arranged on request. The exact price and the token allowance are shown in the workspace before you subscribe.

No per-client fee is the part worth noticing if you carry a long tail of small clients, because that tail is usually where per-client pricing stops making sense.

Open a workspace for one client

Take the client whose documents arrive in the worst shape and run one return through. That is the one where the difference shows.

Frequently asked questions

Does AawazAI file the return, or do I?

You do. The workspace prepares the computation and shows it; filing happens when you press Confirm and File, and it uses your own GSTN credentials. The ARN is recorded against the workspace.

What formats can clients send?

Bill photographs, PDFs, bank statements, GSTR JSON from the portal, and exports from Tally, Zoho, QuickBooks and Busy. The workspace converts them into one shape so you are not the format converter.

What happens to invoices that do not reconcile against 2B?

They go to a review queue with the reason: in the books but not in 2B, in 2B but not in the books, matched with a different value, or a GSTIN mismatch. They are not resolved automatically, because which one it is changes the answer and that judgement is yours.

Is there a per-client charge?

No. It is ₹1,000 a month exclusive of GST regardless of how many clients you carry. Annual billing at ₹9,600 is arranged on request.

Do my clients need to use the AawazAI app?

No. The workspace takes whatever they already send you. If a client does use the business app, what they send arrives already structured, which saves the extraction step.

Can two people in the practice work on the same client?

Yes. A workspace is one client, one return, one period, so everyone working on it is looking at the same set of documents and the same reconciliation.
