Browser extension privacy policy
This policy covers the AawazAI browser extension for Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome. The AawazAI service itself is covered by the AawazAI privacy policy at aawazai.com/privacy.
What the extension does
When you download a payout or settlement report from a seller panel you have turned on in the extension, it sends that file to your AawazAI business and lists it in its window.
What it collects and sends
- The report files you download from the seller panels you turned on (Flipkart, Meesho, Zomato, Swiggy, Myntra, Amazon, Petpooja). They contain your sales, payouts, fees and taxes, and may contain order numbers.
- With each file: which panel it came from, the address it was downloaded from (the host name only), and the file's name.
- When you connect: the browser type (Edge or Chrome) and the extension's version.
Files are sent only to connect.aawazai.com, over HTTPS, and only for the business you connected with your pairing code.
The "Get my payouts" button
The button opens the seller panel's page in a new browser tab. That is all it does: it does not read the page, click anything, fill anything, or send anything to AawazAI. You choose the dates and click Download yourself. Only the panels you turned on show the button.
What it does not collect
It does not read or record the pages you visit, your browsing history, other downloads, passwords, cookies, form entries, location, or anything typed on a seller panel. It never logs in, clicks or fills anything for you.
To fetch a report file again, the extension asks the browser for the same address you just downloaded from. The browser attaches the seller panel's own sign-in, exactly as when you clicked the link. The extension never sees or stores that sign-in.
What is kept in your browser
On your computer only: the connection to your business (a revocable token, not a password), the pause switch, the panels you turned on, and a list of the last 50 files with their status. A link to a file waiting to be sent is kept for at most a day. Disconnecting removes the connection.
How AawazAI uses the files
To prepare your books, payout reconciliation and the documents your chartered accountant works from. Files are stored and protected as described in the AawazAI privacy policy, in India. They are not sold, not used for advertising, and not used to decide credit. AawazAI does not file GST returns.
Your choices
- Pause sending with one switch in the extension.
- Turn off any seller panel in the extension.
- Disconnect this browser in the extension, or from AawazAI (Settings > Connectors > Browser extension). Disconnecting stops the next upload at once.
- Remove the extension from the browser at any time.
- Ask for access, correction or erasure of your data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023: write to the grievance officer named in the AawazAI privacy policy.
Changes
We will update this page and the date above when the extension's handling of data changes. A change that sends new kinds of data will ask for your consent in the extension first.
