Company
We are building the accountant that never sleeps.
AawazAI is built by GenCrafter Technologies Private Limited, for the businesses whose books never quite keep up with the trading, and for the firms who rebuild those books every month.
Origin
Why we started
In most businesses, the people who know what happened are not the people who write it down. Someone sells the goods, pays the supplier, settles the bill, and then at the end of a long day tries to remember it well enough to enter it into an accounting package.
Usually they do not. So the books get assembled later, backwards, from bank statements and a bag of receipts, by an accountant doing the same reconstruction for a hundred other clients at once, days before a filing deadline. Both sides know it is a poor way to work. Neither has an alternative, because every product on the market assumes the business owner will learn the chart of accounts.
That assumption is the problem. A person should not have to learn debits and credits to be compliant, any more than they should have to learn radio engineering to make a phone call. They already know exactly what happened, and they can describe it in one sentence.
So we built the thing that listens to the sentence. The double-entry posting still gets made, correctly and in full, with a real general ledger, the right tax treatment and a defensible audit trail. It just stops being the person's job.
People
Leadership
Parmeshwr Prasad
Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Seventeen years in software engineering with a specialism in natural language processing, and a hundred and thirty patents filed in the United States. AawazAI is his third company. He leads product and the language work that makes the platform usable by someone who has never opened a ledger.
Ajay Kumar
Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer
A distributed systems and language-modelling specialist. He owns the platform architecture, the multi-language parsing stack, and the engineering standards that keep the ledger correct under load.
Principles
How we build
Six commitments that settle arguments internally, which is the only real test of whether a principle is one.
Human effort falls every release
If a release adds capability but leaves the business owner doing the same amount of bookkeeping, it has not shipped the thing we are actually building.
Correctness is never traded for speed
Accounting correctness is never traded for speed. A faster wrong number in a system of record is a worse product, not a quicker one.
Simple beats clever
Clever architecture becomes a support burden at scale, and this platform is meant to reach millions of businesses across many jurisdictions.
Nothing happens silently
Financial data is never created silently. If the system posted something to a customer's books, the customer can find out what, when and why.
Built for the messy middle
We build for how trade is actually described and the languages people actually use, rather than adapting something designed for large corporate finance departments.
Say the state of things plainly
Roadmap is described as roadmap. Known gaps are written down. Customers relying on this as their system of record deserve an accurate picture rather than a flattering one.
